Dermaplaning is mechanical exfoliation: a sterile single-use blade glides over the skin at a shallow angle, lifting away the outer layer of dead cells together with the fine vellus hair ("peach fuzz"). Good for
Before your appointment
Come without makeup if you can, or with your normal daily routine. Avoid strong exfoliation and retinoids for 3–4 days before the treatment. Nothing else is needed.
Who it's not for
Not suitable during active acne, skin inflammation, eczema flare-ups or an active cold sore. For very sensitive or irritated skin we assess at the consultation and tell you honestly whether the treatment suits you.
