Who we are

What we collect and why

Contact form: if you write to us, we process your name, email address, optional phone number and message, so we can reply. Legal basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in answering you.

Booking: our “Book” buttons take you to our external booking provider, Fresha. Any appointment details you enter are processed by Fresha on its own platform under its own privacy policy — we don’t receive or store your booking details through this website.

Comments & questions: if you leave a comment or question on an article, we store your name and message — shown publicly only after we review them — and your optional email, which is kept private and used solely to reply. Legal basis: your consent.

Gift cards: if you buy a gift card, we process the purchaser’s and recipient’s name and email and your personal message, to create and deliver the card. Payment is handled by our payment provider — we never see or store your card details. Legal basis: performance of a contract.

Server logs: like any website, our server keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run the site securely. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in security.

Anonymous site statistics: we collect aggregate, cookieless usage data (the page visited, site language, a broad device type and the referring site’s address) that does not identify you, to understand and improve the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving the website.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses no advertising or cross-site tracking, and sets no cookies for visitors. (The only cookie we use is a strictly functional one, set only when a staff member previews unpublished content — never during a normal visit.) To understand how the site is used, we collect privacy-friendly, anonymous statistics — the page visited, the site language, a broad device type (mobile or desktop) and the referring website’s address — with no cookies and nothing that identifies you. The same kind of anonymous, cookieless statistics are also collected for us by Ahrefs Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly measurement service acting as our processor — it likewise sets no cookies and does not identify you. When you click “Book”, you leave this site for our booking provider, Fresha — a separate platform with its own cookies and privacy policy. The only embeddable third-party content on our own pages — the Google map on our contact page — loads only after you explicitly click to allow it.

Who we share data with

We share data only with providers that help us run the studio: our booking provider (Fresha, which handles appointments when you click “Book”), our payment provider (gift-card payments), our email provider (gift-card delivery and replies), Google (the map and the reviews shown on our site) and our hosting provider. They act under data-processing agreements or their own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some providers — for example Google, our payment provider, and our booking provider (Fresha) — may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent measures.

How long we keep data

We keep contact enquiries, article comments and gift-card records only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected and to meet legal obligations (such as accounting), then delete them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us using the link below.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee).
